Book Review of Options Made Simple By Me

I understood that Options as an investment vehicle is more powerful and flexible than common stocks. There are more dimensions to it, since by itself, it can generate income in any directions i.e. in bullish, bearish and sideways markets. It can also help to protect, build and manage your stock portfolios.

I was excited and really wanted to learn more about it. I went to MPH bookstore and chance upon this book called "Options Made Simple" by Jacqueline Clarke and Davin Clarke. In this book lies many hidden gems. In this book, you can learn about:

• Definition of Options and comparing them to Stocks
• The various types of Options
• The advantages and risks of Options
• How Options are priced
• How to open, close and exercise Options
• Which Options strategy to choose given a situation
• Basic Options strategies using one Option
• Advance Options strategies using more than one Options

I like to recommend this book as a must read for anyone who wants to start trading options but was too afraid to do so as they could loose hugh money. The authors takes the reader from the basics to the advance and stressing the fundamentals. It is very readable and light as all trading jargons have been well explained. There are numorous examples which clearly illustrates the option strategies and results of various exit strategies which are easy to understand and follow. The risks are also highlighted and the equivalent lost are explained when embarking on certain strategies. The best thing is, I have made consistent profits after executing a few of their strategies.
